Washing Machine
Intellecta works very closely with teachers and it was clear that a common example of a control system would play an important teaching role. The control example would have to be a common system that has motion devices, inputs such as switches, indicators and some safety issues.
The washing machine model was designed with these points in mind.
It has the following inputs and outputs.
- 1 start switch
- 1 safety lid switch
- 1 red led
- 1 green led
- 1 potentiometer
- 1 motor
Extensive curriculum notes introduce the control technology principles with the Intellecta icon software in particular the use of worksheets. These worksheets act as containers that assist with the program management and division of the project.
