Step 2: Open printer properties Right click on the Printer image and you will enter the Properties menus that define issues such as the connection to the serial port, communication settings and spooler details. |

Step 3: Check Serial port settings Click on the Ports Tab to view the serial port connection which corresponds to the actual connection on your computer to the MDX-20. Note that you must have a real serial port not a USB converter port. Make sure that your port is ticked and that the Enable bidirectional support item is ticked. Click on the Configure Port button and make sure you have 9600 for the baud rate and Flow control is Hardware. Click OK to return to the tabbed display |

Step 4: Select advanced settings Click on the Advanced Tab and make sure you have selected the following items. 1. Always available 2. Spool print documents 3. Start printing immediately. 4. Print spooled documents first 5. Enable advanced printing features. Click Close to return. You have now set up the serial port correctly. |

Step 5: Delete jobs from the spooler queue You will now see the accumulated work for the MDX-20. |

1. Select Cancel all Documents Click on the Printer Menu item and Click on the Cancel All Documents menu item. |

2. Verify the intention Click on the Yes button to remove all jobs ( or so you thought!!!!). All jobs will be removed apart from the one that is currently printing. |

Click You will see the current job and you have to remove this from BOTH the MDX-20 and the print queue. |

Step 6: Removal of print spool To remove this file you will have to go into the Administrative Tools section of the control panel. Click on the Administrative tools icon to gain access to many specific Windows features. |

Step 7: Select Services Select the Services icon |

Step 8: Select Services Select the Services icon and scroll down to the Print Spooler item |

Step 9: Stop the Spooler Right Click on the Print Spooler item and select the Stop option in the pop up list. You will see a moving progress bar that shows the deletion of contents from the spooler. |

Step 10: Restart the Spooler Right Click on the Print Spooler item and select the lit up Start item. This will restart the spooler.

Step 11: Refresh the Printer Driver Now go back to the Printers and Faxes in the Control menu and click on the refresh button. The Print queue is now empty. |

Step 12: Remove print contents from the MDX-20 If the machine is running then press the VIEW button to stop the machine operation. Your can press the two Height positioning buttons and you will see the light flash as the contents are removed. You can turn off the machine and restart. The previous job has now been eliminated. |
